Meet Hazel a wonderful and stunning Snowshoe mix who loves humans so much she wants nothing more than to be by your side! Hazel had a rough life before a kind person opened her door and saw Hazel outside her steps begging for help! This wonderful woman gave her all the tlc she needs , we had her spayed , microchipped, snap tested (negative ) and fully vaccinated . Hazel is an absolute love, so gentle and affectionate, and loves attention and to cuddle more than anything!
A few months into fostering the woman noticed Hazel losing weight . We took her into the vet where she was diagnosed with diabetes . She’s quite the young cat (estimated around 4 years old) so it was quite the shock ! Foster mom learned quickly how to administer her insulin , and Hazel had improved dramatically after just a few months ! A recent vet visit showed her sugar levels stabilized and she gained two pounds! We feel Hazel is ready to find her forever home now that will love her for everything she is , she’s truly a gem who just needs a little extra love and care!

Welcome to NYC Cat Coalition
We rescue cats and kittens from the streets and outdoors or from owner surrender, bring them for needed veterinary services, give them love, and find them loving forever homes! We are a 100% Zero Kill rescue, volunteer-based, 501(C)(3) non-profit, grassroots organization. When you adopt a cat from us, it will create a space for us to rescue another cat! Thank you for considering our organization.
While we take in kittens and cats who are in good shape, our focus is on saving those who are most likely not saved without our help. Please consider adopting one of our cats or kittens.
