Meet Hazel a wonderful and stunning Snowshoe mix who loves humans so much she wants nothing more than to be by your side! Hazel had a rough life before a kind person opened her door and saw Hazel outside her steps begging for help! This wonderful woman gave her all the tlc she needs , we had her spayed , microchipped, snap tested (negative ) and fully vaccinated . Hazel is an absolute love, so gentle and affectionate, and loves attention and to cuddle more than anything!
A few months into fostering the woman noticed Hazel losing weight . We took her into the vet where she was diagnosed with diabetes . She’s quite the young cat (estimated around 4 years old) so it was quite the shock ! Foster mom learned quickly how to administer her insulin , and Hazel had improved dramatically after just a few months ! A recent vet visit showed her sugar levels stabilized and she gained two pounds! We feel Hazel is ready to find her forever home now that will love her for everything she is , she’s truly a gem who just needs a little extra love and care!

Adoption Center at the Pelham Manor Petsmart
Did you know we are a Petsmart Charities adoption partner? With covid we sadly had to close our Pelham Manor location. We are so thrilled to announce , we are back! We have some old timers but new volunteers too! It’s such a rewarding experience watching cats loves change and go into loving forever homes! We can always use volunteers to take an AM or PM shift just once a week. We generally say 2 hours is enough time to play with the cats and clean litter boxes/cages and feed them. If interested in volunteering and you are 18 or older , email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call Joan at (718) 671-1695
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far!
